Akvan "Evil Mind" is an imporant Persion div with unlimited powers and incredible strength. A div is an evil spirit whose intent is to do harm to humans, and spread lies and destruction for sheer please. Akvan has a wide mouth, fangs, and horns. He wears a short skirt of the Persian tradition that does not quite hide his tail which flashes as a warning to his nature and he has carved clawlike toenails on his wide flat feet.
Akvan can be found in the Persian epic poem, Shah-Nameh (The Book of Kings) written by Friduasi for the Sultan Mahamud of Ghazna in 1009. Though he is very large and powerful he is not very intelligent and can be mercifully predicatble. He will always do the opposite of whatever is asked of him.
