The masculine element of air, which represents the intellect, is linked with this suit. The Ace of Swords signifies our ablity to think logically and act in a fair-minded, responsible way. It indicates a rational response to a situation of conflict or to differences of opinion. It denotes courage in adversity and reasures us that, although we may find ourselves in a situation in which everything looks hopeless, justice and truth will prevail.

Conflic may be neccasary in order to force us to look for new soultions to old problems, but we still will be filled with a sense of strength espcially if we have to fight for something in which we believe. We are committed to the truth and are prepared to face difficulties because we have a strong sense that a resoulition will be acheived.

Drawing this card signifies that we understand our situation and can make sense of what we must do.
