To improve condition of nails and hair make a solution of lavender by steeping 10 flowering sprigs in 600ml nearly boiling water for 30 minutes. Add one tablespoon of resulting tonic to the pressed of herb watercress and apply to the scalp and hair after shampoo and conditioning to strengthen and thicken it. Add a few drops to a hand cream and rub into the nails.
Eating watercress and evening primrose in salads can also increase the effect.
