Well this is another card that I always have found of particular intrest and another one of the cards that does seem to have a bit of a stigma attached to it, becaue people take the imagery and the title of the card too litteraly without knowing what it really means.

The Hanged Man symbolizes the giving up of something in order to aquire something else that has become more important. We have reached a crossroads and now we need to choose what is significant to us and what is no longer of vaule.

This card represents a turning point in our psychological developement as we reorienate our focus toward the inner world. Knowledge of what lies within becomes more important than what exisists outside.

The Hanged Man denotes a time when we are asked to surrender control of the ego and move into the unknown territory of our inner landscape. This necessitates a willingness to let go and trust that there is something greater than our concsious mind, which has the wisdom to guide us toward what is required for our development.

Like the man hagning upside down on the card, we need to adopt a new presepctive and discover a deeper set of vaules within us. Whether we are aware of is or not, this card suggests that we are undergoing an expansion of consciousnes that can only take place if we are ready and willing to move beyound our present set of circumstances.
