Human Sacrifice

One thing that I have noticed happen time and time again, is whenever anyone brings up the topic of Human Sacrifice, and suggusts that some culture or beleif had at one point partook in the ritual, all the sudden you get these groups sprigning up and just denying it every happend and cliaming they are being misrespensted and blah blah blah.

Personally I think this sort of knee jerk, instant denial reaction is very immature, and really does not in fact do any good for your cause, and it is not enlighenting.

One of the things that has always been of great annoyance to me is when people try and take the vaules, understanding, knowelge, and socity of the modern day and apply it to the past, becasue that is invalid and just does not acomplish anything construtive.

If a person really wants to be taken seriously and really wants others to listen to them and to truly understand, what thier heritage or relgious beleifs are and what they are about then they need to speek honestly and openly about thier history, all of it, not just the parts they think make them look good.

It is just ridiculous to think that just becasue someone mentions that once upon a time in history this or that culture or religion comittied human sacrifice they are trying to demene what you beleive in someway, as well it is equally ridiculous to think that becasue someone might have preformed human sacarfice 100s upon 100s of years ago, it acutally means sometehing today about what you beleive.

The point in fact is, there was a time in history in which human sacrifice was preformed and it was preformed by man different cultures and many different beleif systems, like it or not. But really ther is no reason to be upset about this.

I think that anyone who claims, with the excpetion of maybe Buddism, that in the whole history of what they belive or what thier hearitaige is, there was never a human sacrifice preformed, is complete B.S.

And instead if you really want to educate people, when discussing human sacrifice you should not back yourself in the denial corner, becasue that just does not look good. But explain why they did it, what it meant to them when they did it and how the society they lived in, in thier time period viewd it.

Now if people are going around trying to seriously say that today, in this day and age you are participating in human sacrife, well that is one thing, but to say that at some point in time, in history, there may have been human sacrifice preromed, yeah there probaly was, but hey they were not the only kids in town doing it, so just deal with it.
