In traditional Italian Witchcraft stregeone (male witches) and strega (female witches) are sperate from each other. They had seperate paths in which they followed. Though the stregeone were considered to be true witches, they did not partake in any of the ceremonies of the strega. Though in some cases strea and stregeone and strega would intermarry, they would still keep thier paths seperate from each other. The idea of males being embraced in the witch community, and united and of males and females working side by side, is a new ideology primairly occuring in American Wicthes.
