PostSubject: Dream Altar   Dream Altar Icon_minitimeTue Aug 21, 2007 2:09 pm

A Dream Altar is an altar that is made specifically for use in dream magick, and so it should be made somewhere near to your bed, and in fact, a simple bedside table can be turned into a dream alter, it is perferable if you can create your alter in the north quarter of your room, or faching the north at least. For North is the realm of midnight and dreams

Though your altar cloth may be of any color, those which are most strongly associated with dreams and dream magick are midnight blue, black, silver, and white.

The left side of your altar is the creative nurturing side, dedicated to the Goddess, while the right side of the altar is traditionaly the active power side dedicated to the God. Traditionaly a statue or other symbolic item is placed on the left side to represent the Goddess, and one on the right side to represent the God.

The items should be placed on the altar in a way in which they can be convienetly reached in a darkned room

The tools used in a Dream Altar include

Athame

Bell

Bowl
(preferably one made of natural mattieral, wood, clay, shell, etc...)

Cauldron
(you may use a small one)

Chalice

Incense burner

Robe
