Herbs

Fennel: Fennel has many roots. This makes it prone to drying out in a pot. Make sure it has sufficient water

Agrimony: This herb contains a yellow dye that was traditionally used in the process of tanning leather

German chamomile: As well as aiding digestion, chamomile tea helps a baby to sleep.

Gathering:

Aerial parts of argimony as needed and German chamomile flowers as they appear. Collect fennel seed as it forms, after the plant has flwoered.

Remedies

Anticolic Tea

This tea is quite safe for clolicy babies and can be diluted with 50 percent water and given in a bottle. Make a tee with a teaspoon of crushed fennel seed plus three or four chamomile flowers to a pint of water. Let it stand for 10 minitues. Strain and give when cool.

Tea for an upset stomach

Make a tea with one small fresh agrimony leaf to a cup of boiling water. Steep for 15 minitues. Strain and than let cool. Give it to the baby twice a day in a bottle.
